TENEBE, FIFA AGENT DISCUSS GLOBAL REPOSITIONING OF BENDEL INSURANCE FC AHEAD OF NEW SEASON

London Meeting Focuses on Player Branding, International Partnerships and Commercial Growth

London, United Kingdom

The Chairman of Bendel Insurance Football Club, Jarrett Tenebe, has held strategic talks with FIFA-licensed football agent Drew Uyi in London as part of efforts to reposition the Benin-based club ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The high-level meeting focused on strategies to enhance the club’s global profile through player branding, talent development, international marketing and commercial partnerships.

According to the parties, the discussions explored initiatives aimed at increasing the international visibility and marketability of Bendel Insurance players while strengthening the club’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most historic football institutions.

A key outcome of the meeting was the proposed introduction of a structured athlete-branding programme designed to equip players with a stronger professional image, enhanced digital presence and improved media visibility.

The initiative is expected to increase players’ exposure to international football clubs, scouts, sponsors and commercial opportunities while promoting Bendel Insurance FC as a destination for elite football talent.

Speaking after the meeting, Chairman Jarrett Tenebe reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Bendel Insurance FC into a more competitive, professionally managed and commercially viable football club.

He stressed that innovation, professionalism and strategic international partnerships remain essential to achieving sustained success in modern football.

Tenebe added that the club would continue creating opportunities that improve player development, strengthen its brand and enhance its competitiveness both in the Nigeria Premier Football League and on the international stage.

Also speaking, Drew Uyi, a FIFA Licensed Football Agent, International Brand Strategist and Founder/Chief Executive Officer of DD Eleven Group Ltd, expressed his readiness to support the club’s vision through his extensive international football network and expertise in player branding and career development.

According to Uyi, talent alone is no longer enough to succeed in today’s highly competitive football industry, noting that professional branding has become a critical factor in increasing player value, attracting sponsorships and opening doors to international opportunities.

Both parties expressed optimism that the London meeting would serve as the foundation for a long-term collaboration aimed at elevating the global profile of Bendel Insurance FC and preparing the club for a successful 2026/2027 campaign.

Planning is already underway to implement the agreed initiatives as part of the club’s long-term strategy for sustainable growth, sporting excellence and international recognition.
