An autopsy has been conducted on the remains of Miss Favour Agbro, as investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death continue amid calls for justice by her family and supporters.

According to an update issued by Comr. Israel Joe, the autopsy was carried out by the investigating team and competent pathologists, with representatives of the parties involved present, including the lawyer representing Odogwu Asaba.

Earlier in the day, Joe said he and another activist visited the location where Favour was buried in Agbaro, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, ahead of the planned exhumation and autopsy.

He said Favour’s father and members of the extended family were also present and had made arrangements for the exhumation to take place.

In an emotional moment before the remains were taken for the examination, Favour’s twin sister reportedly brought sardines and bread to the graveside.

According to Joe, the twin sister said she had been seeing Favour in her dreams and believed she appeared to her because she was hungry. She reportedly requested that the food be placed in the grave before Favour’s remains were taken for the autopsy.

The request was reportedly granted in the midst of intense emotions, with members of the family and supporters said to have wept as the process was carried out.

The autopsy is expected to form part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Favour’s death. The findings of the pathologists could provide important medical evidence to investigators as they seek to establish the cause and circumstances of her death.

The development comes as the #Justice4Favour campaign continues to attract attention, with supporters demanding that the investigation be allowed to run its full course and that anyone found responsible should face the law.

Joe thanked members of the public and others who have supported the investigation and stood with Favour’s family during what he described as a painful period following her death.

He also pledged that the campaign would continue to monitor the investigation until justice is served.

The autopsy findings have not been publicly released at the time of this report. Any conclusion about the cause of death or responsibility for Favour’s death remains subject to the findings of the medical examination and the outcome of the investigation.

IBN News will continue to follow the case and report verified developments as they emerge.
