Matthew Tonlagha’s company completes major security-support project for Nigeria Police in Enerhen

EFFURUN — Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, a company owned by Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, has built, furnished and donated a new Divisional Police Headquarters to the Nigeria Police Force in Enerhen Community, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The new police facility was commissioned on September 16, 2026, in a development expected to improve police operations, provide a better working environment for officers and strengthen security response within Enerhen and surrounding communities.

The project represents a private-sector intervention in public security infrastructure, with Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited providing the building and furnishing of the facility for use by the Nigeria Police Force.
The commissioning ceremony attracted senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force, representatives of the Uvwie Local Government Council, traditional rulers, community leaders, as well as management and staff of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited.
The new headquarters is expected to provide officers serving in the division with improved facilities for administrative duties, policing operations and engagement with residents of Enerhen and neighbouring communities.
The intervention also highlights the role that private organisations and individuals can play in supporting government security agencies through the provision of infrastructure and other operational resources.

For communities in the Enerhen axis, the establishment of a modern and properly furnished police headquarters is expected to support more effective policing and improve the ability of officers to respond to security incidents and other emergencies.
The project was delivered by Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited under the leadership of Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, with the facility formally handed over for police use following its commissioning.
The presence of police infrastructure within a community can also strengthen interaction between law enforcement personnel and residents, particularly where officers have adequate facilities to carry out their duties.
The commissioning ceremony brought together stakeholders from the security, government, traditional and community sectors, underscoring the importance attached to the project and its expected contribution to security administration in Uvwie.
IBN News reports that the new Enerhen Divisional Police Headquarters was built, furnished and donated to the Nigeria Police Force by Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited and was officially commissioned on September 16, 2026.
