PDP House of Representatives candidate Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor calls for public support for retiring traffic official
Former Edo State Commissioner Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor has celebrated Mrs Oloiki Patience, a long-serving traffic official who is due to retire after 35 years of public service.
In a message shared after visiting Patience, Ifaluyi-Isibor said the encounter reminded him of her decades of service, particularly her role in managing traffic and helping children safely cross roads.
According to him, Patience told him during the visit that she would be retiring next month after 35 years in service, adding that she felt it was time to step away from active duty.
Ifaluyi-Isibor described her service as worthy of recognition and called on members of the public to celebrate her dedication to public service.
“35 years of standing. 35 years of easing traffic. 35 years of helping children cross the road. 35 years of waking up early to go serve her country,” he said.
He also appealed to members of the public to support Patience as she prepares for retirement, providing her bank details in the original appeal for those who wish to make voluntary contributions.
Ifaluyi-Isibor previously served as Edo State Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science and Technology under former Governor Godwin Obaseki.
He is also the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for the Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.
