Human rights advocate endorses AAC candidate, vows to mobilise support ahead of general election.
Human rights activist and President of De Advocates for Justice and Human Rights, Comrade Israel Joe, has officially declared his support for the 2027 presidential ambition of Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC).
In a statement announcing his decision, Israel Joe said he arrived at the endorsement after reflecting on recent political developments in the country and engaging with the evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, both the ruling party and a major opposition party had sought his support, but he decided to back Sowore, whom he described as a fearless leader with the courage and determination to confront the nation’s challenges.
“I have taken a stand today never to remain neutral anymore.
By my conscience, I have chosen to support a fearless man who not only has the will to lead but also the courage to confront evil in line with my personal principles of life,” he stated.
Joe expressed confidence that a Sowore presidency would promote peace, security, economic development and social progress, citing the AAC leader’s experience and vision for the country.
“We don’t just want to win the election; we choose to win Nigeria. Nigeria is more important than the 2027 general election, and the mission is to take it back,” he said.
The declaration comes as political consultations and endorsements continue to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He further pledged to mobilise support for Sowore’s presidential campaign, stressing that the objective extends beyond winning an election to securing what he described as a better future for Nigeria.
