Okpebholo moves commissioners across Water Resources, Physical Planning, Oil and Gas, and Digital Economy portfolios
The Edo State Government has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of four commissioners across key ministries.
The changes, approved by Governor Monday Okpebholo, were announced in a government special announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, on September 11, 2026.
Under the new arrangement, Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, formerly Commissioner for Water Resources, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Vincent Osas Uwadiae, who previously headed Physical Planning and Urban Development, has been moved to the Ministry of Water Resources.
Andrew Momodu has also been redeployed from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, while Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa moves in the opposite direction, from Oil and Gas Resources to Communications and Digital Economy.
The government said the reshuffle was aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and enhancing efficiency across the administration.
The redeployments take immediate effect.
Governor Okpebholo directed the affected commissioners to bring their experience and expertise to bear in their new portfolios and remain focused on the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the development of Edo State.
