Governor hails faith, unity and sacrifice as magnificent church edifice is dedicated in Ogbeson Quarters
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has attended the Church Building Dedication of St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Ogbeson Quarters, under the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City.
Governor Okpebholo described the dedication of the church building as an inspiring moment and a reflection of the faith, unity, sacrifice and commitment of the Christian faithful.
The Governor commended the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City, the Apostolic Administrator, Most Rev. Donatus Aihmosion Ogun, and members of the parish for their efforts and commitment towards the completion of the church edifice.
According to him, the new church will serve not only as a place of worship but also as a centre for faith, peace, unity, community development and service to humanity.
Governor Okpebholo also appreciated Christians across Edo State for their continued prayers, support and goodwill towards his administration.
He said the prayers and support of the Christian faithful remain a source of strength as his administration continues efforts to build what he described as a better and greater Edo State.
The Governor prayed for God’s continued blessings upon St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Ogbeson Quarters, and all members of the Christian faithful.
