ENAHORO UNVEILS KEY AIDES, CHARGES APPOINTEES ON LOYALTY, INTEGRITY AND SERVICE

The Executive Chairman of Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Hon. Aikpokpo Enahoro, has approved the appointment of five key officials to serve in various capacities within the local government administration.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, include the Secretary to the Owan West Local Government, Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Personal Assistant, Chief Security Officer and Chief Press Secretary.
According to a press release dated September 7, 2026, the newly appointed officials are expected to support the administration in the delivery of its programmes and the overall development of Owan West Local Government Area.
Mrs. Angelina Dada Aigbokhai was appointed as the Secretary to Owan West Local Government, while Mr. Ifije Aloje Augustine was named Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman.
Also appointed is Mr. Ohije John Obadan as Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman.
Mr. Stephen Imoukhuede Osagie was appointed as Chief Security Officer to the Executive Chairman, while Comrade Ilevbare Duro Sylvester was named Chief Press Secretary.
The appointments represent a major step in the constitution of the Executive Chairman’s team following the assumption of office by the new Owan West Local Government administration.
Hon. Enahoro congratulated the newly appointed officials and charged them to approach their responsibilities with loyalty, integrity, discipline and competence.
The Council Chairman also urged the appointees to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to public service and contribute positively to the administration’s vision for the development of Owan West Local Government Area.
Hon. Enahoro expressed confidence in the abilities of the newly appointed officials, stating that their contributions would be important to the effective running of the local government and the successful implementation of the administration’s programmes.
The Chairman stressed the need for dedication and responsible service, as the administration works towards addressing the needs of residents and promoting development across communities within Owan West Local Government Area.
The appointments took immediate effect, according to the statement signed by Comrade Ilevbare Duro Sylvester, Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman.
The development has formally placed the five officials in strategic positions within the new administration, with expectations that they will play key roles in supporting the Chairman’s leadership and public service agenda.
The appointments are expected to further strengthen the administrative structure of the Owan West Local Government as the new leadership begins to outline its priorities and development programmes for the area.
