$3M LONDON OFFER CLAIM: DR. VON BATTEN ALLEGES ATTEMPT TO END TINUBU CAMPAIGN

Dr. Von Batten has alleged that he was recently offered $3 million and invited to a confidential meeting in London by what he described as a highly placed individual allegedly connected to Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the statement, the alleged offer was made in an attempt to persuade him to discontinue his campaign concerning what he describes as President Tinubu’s alleged heroin-trafficking records.

Von Batten said he rejected the offer and immediately preserved copies of the communications surrounding the alleged approach.

He further claimed that, following the rejection, he contacted members of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s campaign to seek clarification about the alleged individual’s relationship with President Tinubu.

The statement alleges that a smear campaign against Von Batten subsequently began.

Von Batten said he intends to provide the alleged $3 million offer and related communications to the United States Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review.

The allegations, if independently substantiated, could raise serious questions about the identity and motives of whoever allegedly made the approach, as well as whether any attempt was made to improperly influence a political campaign or public advocacy effort.

However, the claims remain allegations at this stage. The statement does not, by itself, establish that President Tinubu authorised, knew about, or was involved in any alleged offer.

The allegation concerning President Tinubu and heroin trafficking records should likewise be treated as an allegation unless supported by authenticated documentary evidence or findings from a competent authority.

Von Batten concluded his statement with a direct message to President Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress and their associates, saying the alleged offer had been rejected.
